"You stole that?"
"Technically, no one's eating it. You want some?"
I hesitated for only a second before reaching for it. "Give me a bite."
She grinned. "See? You're not so innocent after all."
I shook my head, unable to suppress a laugh. "And what about your boyfriend?"
Her face darkened. "He'll come. And when he does, he'll make sure you take the fall."
A sudden burst of voices made us freeze.
"Find them! They couldn’t have gone far!"
Her fingers tightened around my wrist. "Run with me."
